LVAC “Multiplicity” Show

Hosted by: Louisville Visual Artist Collective

Opening reception: Friday, Dec 10th, 6-9

More is more in LVAC’s newest exhibition. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, and photography, artists investigate multiple frames and parts, multiple aspects of the same subject, and multiple points of view. Many of the artists in this exhibition have expanded the idea of multiplicity by creating series, sequences, and images that comprise numerous parts. They explore repetition, pairing, and variations on a theme as artistic strategies.

ABOUT THE PLAY:
The Normal Heart is a highly compelling piece of dramatic entertainment that deals with the human fears and courage that necessitated the formation of the GMHC (Gay Men’s Health Crisis) during the outbreak of the AIDS epidemic in the early 1980′s.

The Normal Heart will open on Dec. 1st to commemorate World AIDS Day in connection with The AIDS Services Coalition Center’s candlelight memorial (also held this year at the new LOT Gallery in the beautiful St. Francis building at 3rd and Broadway).
